Matthew got bitten by the acting bug at a young age, appearing in commercials, public service announcements and industrial films before attended high school at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts (Jacksonville, Florida) where he studied theatre, music, and dance and appeared in numerous school and community theatre productions. While in high school, he landed roles on Nickelodeon’s All That! and the HBO original film First Time Felon as well as a starring role in the pilot Lights, Camera, Kids! Matthew went on to receive his BFA in Theatre Studies from Southern Methodist University. Some of his favorite stage credits from SMU include Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, Lorca’s As Five Years Pass, and Paul Rudnick’s The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.

Since relocating to Los Angeles, Matthew has had starring and supporting roles in films such as Mad World, The Jinn, Pirate Camp, This is Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary, and 3:15. His stage credits include Slow Dance on the Killing Ground at the Lounge Theatre, and LA’s longest running original stage play Eavesdropper, which is still running at The Complex Theatre. Matthew continues to pursue his acting career while also pursuing opportunities in writing, producing, and stand-up comedy.
