Tye Olson

Walter

Tye Olson was born in Crosby, Minnesota, where he discovered his passion for the performing arts performing in school plays and community theatre productions. When he was thirteen, he and his family moved north to Bemidji, Minnesota, where Tye enrolled in dance classes and further honed his abilities as a performer. Just before heading to college, a modeling scout from Caryn International School for Film and Television asked Tye to represent the school at the 2005 IMTA New York competition. Inspired by the feedback he received while in NY at the competition, Tye packed up his car and drove alone out to Los Angeles. Four short months after his move, Tye booked the leading role in the independent feature Watercolors, opposite Karen Black (Five Easy Pieces) and Greg Louganis (Beyond the Glory). Olson’s other films include Brother’s War, South of Pico, Cougar Club, and Out at the Wedding. Tye can also be seen in music videos for Fall Out Boy, Hellogoodbye, and Blue October.
