Elaine Hendrix

Ms. Muller

Formidably fun and fearless, Elaine Hendrix defines beauty, charm, humor, and talent. Her chameleon-like performances in The Parent Trap, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Superstar and the current cult phenomenon What the Bleep Do We Know?! have earned her fans worldwide and rave reviews by critics. Roger Ebert, for one, aptly notes, “She earns her comedic stripes.” Her impressive range of talents does not end with acting though, but extends well beyond to include dancing, singing, songwriting, and producing. With everything Elaine has on tap; count on 2007 to be her strongest year yet.

Elaine is currently co-starring in Coffee Date opposite Jonathan Silverman, Wilson Cruz, and Sally Kirkland. She served as Associate Producer on the project, which was a darling at festivals and is now making its way across the country in select theatres. The Houston Chronicle harks “Gets this girl a sit-com.” She also co-stars in Down the PCH (due out on video March 2007) heading up an ensemble cast and earning a “Best Actress” win at the Baja Film Festival 2006. As if that’s not enough, Elaine can be heard singing “What the Bleep?” the end title song she wrote and performed for What the Bleep – Down the Rabbit Hole (also available on the official Bleep soundtrack). What’s more, she produced Bleep Fest 2006, a festival for the DVD and CD release sponsored by the Bleep Store and Fox Home Entertainment.

In the coming year Elaine will appear in seven more films and an on-line first. Due out in May is the ensemble comedy Bam Bam and Celeste opposite Margaret Cho, Alan Cumming and Kathy Najimy. Bam Bam features the song “I’m Beautiful” written and performed for the film by Elaine. Throughout the year she will also be seen in The Dukes which marks the directorial debut of Robert Davi, LA Blues directed by Ian Gurvitz, Magic directed by John Penny, Within directed by Hanelle Culpepper, Player 5150 directed by David O’Neill, and being released April 1 is Pass It On, another “Bleep-esque” movie created by ‘Millionaire Mentor’ Greg Reid. Elaine also stars in the first ever on-line interactive sketch comedy game called Charlie’s Bitch Ass Hos

Currently in development, Elaine showcases her southern roots as Etta Milford in the quirky, dark comedy Good Intentions from Shadowlight Pictures. In development as well are a series of Kabbalah projects with the Israeli company Ari Films. Elaine serves as a producer on both projects. Finally, Margaret Cho has written a role specifically for Elaine in her next feature Hells Bells which will first be produced as a short Two Sisters.

Her big screen career is thriving, yet Elaine still derives her greatest thrill from performing in front of a live audience. She created, produced and performed in the stage hit Peep Show...for your viewing pleasure; and can currently be seen scantily clad and dangerously provocative in Margaret Cho’s The Sensuous Woman, Bruce Daniels’ Drunk On Stage, and soon The Pin-Up Girls and Wizard Finger in Los Angeles. She aims to one-day tackle Broadway. Indeed.

Born and raised in Tennessee, Elaine knew she wanted to be a “star” when she was cast as the lead in her 2nd grade school musical “Alice in Wonderland.” In high school Elaine moved to Atlanta where she attended a performing arts school and began dancing professionally in a modern and jazz company. Subsequently, she traveled the world modeling and dancing for such companies as Levi’s, Nike, Mattel, and early rap artists like MC Hammer and Whodini before moving to LA in 1992.

Elaine’s big Hollywood break came soon after when in 1995 she starred in the remake of Get Smart opposite Don Adams, Barbara Feldon, and Andy Dick. It was a mere one-year wait until Elaine hit the big screen. She has continued in TV, guest starring on such hit shows as CSI, CSI Miami, Ghost Whisperer, ER, and recurring for two seasons on the critically acclaimed Joan of Arcadia. She also has 4 different collectable Happy Meal toys of her beloved ‘G2’ character from Disney’s family hit Inspector Gadget 2.

Some of Elaine’s greatest passions are helping animals, children, the environment and cancer research, and she works with numerous charity organizations including What a Pair, Pets 90210, PETA and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She is a member of Women in Film, Step Up Woman’s Network, and an advisory board member of ISE-LA (Institute of Spiritual Entertainment – Los Angeles). She has particular affinities for vanilla ice cream, Star Wars, Elvis and Target; and believes it is important to maintain a healthy balance of work, play, spirituality and shopping in her life.

Elaine currently resides in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, entertainment attorney Chris Corabi and their rescued pets – dogs Tiloc and Rossmore and cat Goodie Cornbread.
